Prepare for delays on the Red Line

Looks like there is still a long road ahead to get the Red Line back on track (pun intended). MBTA officials said Friday that it will take months to get the Red Line back to full service. Riders should expect slower commutes until at least Labor Day. Get the details here!

Summer Solstice Party at Steel & Rye for Dorchester Boys & Girls Clubs

Steel & Rye is celebrating summer on Tuesday, June 25th from 6pm-9pm featuring Yellow Door Taqueria!  The party kicks off at 6pm with will Steel & Rye classics like Fried Chicken, Pizza and some summertime BBQ alongside Yellow Door’s tacos and more. Expect live tunes, yard games out front, tons of great food and some killer auction items. Tickets are $65 and proceeds go to the Boys & Girls Club of Dorchester.  You can purchase them here!

Fundraising efforts for Old Morton Street Fire

9-alarm fire swept through a neighborhood destroying eight homes last Saturday afternoon. The fire began at about 4:45 p.m. at 39 Old Morton St. which was a vacant house under construction. Thanks to high winds, the blaze quickly jumped to seven more houses. Some neighbors have organized fundraisers to help those displaced. You can check them out here!
