A Look Back at Dorchester History: An Illustrated Talk about the Badlam Brothers of Lower Mills

Calling all local history buffs! The Dorchester Historical Society is hosting a special virtual presentation about the Badlam Brothers of Lower Mills on Sunday, October 18th, at 2pm.

Dorchester Historical Society President Earl Taylor will lead the illustrated talk, which explores the lives of Ezra and Stephen Badlam, two brothers who served as officers in the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War. The brothers were also talented furniture makers whose work can be found in major museums today.

Using historic letters and other materials, the presentation will offer a fascinating look at their military careers and life in Dorchester during the 1700s.

The event will be held via Zoom, and registration is required.
