New Menu at dbar

dbar has dropped their new spring menu including shrimp cocktail ceviche, veracruz braised chicken flautas, and herb roasted salmon with snow peas, melted leeks, pea greens, horseradish beet sauce and fennel. You can check out the full menu here!

Celebrate National Banana Day at the Zoo

In celebration of National Banana Day, Banana Loca, a new kitchen gadget that cores and fills bananas, is sponsoring a banana-themed event at Franklin Park Zoo’s Tropical Forest.Banana Loca is donating a year’s worth of bananas to baby Pablo and his gorilla family, as well as to the other banana-loving animals throughout the zoo. Pitch in!

The Dorchester Running Club is pitching in and helping clean up the DCR Neponset Trail Route on Saturday, April 17th at 9am at the Joseph Finnegan Park (aka the Port). Trash bags, trash tongs, rakes, shovels, gloves, hand sanitizer, and bug spray will be provided. DCR suggests bringing masks, hats, sunscreen, water, snacks — and any favorite work gloves! Long pants and closed-toed shoes are recommended for terrain and poison ivy. Kids are welcome too. Now in its third round, the Boston “B” Holiday Contest calls on local artists, students, and residents to reimagine the City of Boston’s “B” logo to celebrate holidays and the cultural diversity of our City. They want to see B’s that are a reflection of our community. Winning designs may be featured on the City of Boston’s social media channels.
