National Grilled Cheese Day Neighborhood Roundup

There’s nothing more comforting than two pieces of buttered bread with slices of cheese in the middle, grilled to perfection. The Grilled Cheese Sandwich has been pleasing crowds since the 1920’s and whether you like it with bacon or a bowl of tomato soup, here are our picks of where to get one in the neighborhood.

Honeycomb Cafe

This adorable coffee shop is located on Savin Hill Ave and offers everything from espresso to organic teas. They also feature breakfast and lunch including a grilled cheese – melty cheddar between two slices of organic wheat toast! You can learn more here!

For the seafood lover, LMT features a Cajun Crab Grilled Cheese with roasted corn + bacon relish, cheddar + Fontino blend, tomato jam on thick sliced herb parmesan bread.

Ripple Cafe

Ripple Cafe serves up their grilled cheese with toasted sourdough bread, melted American, cheddar & pepper jack cheese, sliced tomato and Dijon mustard.

McKenna’s Cafe

In addition to breakfast, this local favorite offers the classic grilled cheese served all day!

Sweet Life Cafe

Founded in 2012 by Kristin Ahern and her husband, Sweet Life Bakery & Cafe will make you a grilled cheese with cheddar or American. You can also add tomato or bacon.  Save room for dessert! Sweet Life has everything from cupcakes to cookies!
