Big News!
Back in January, it was reported that the Morrissey Blvd shopping center, which includes Lambert’s Rainbow Market and the Puritan Plaza shopping center, was on the market.
Well, according to the Boston Business Journal, the Lambert’s Rainbow Market stores in Dorchester and Westwood have been sold to a developer for over $22.8M!
The transactions together are worth $22.8 million – the Dorchester location and the surrounding plaza totaled $10 million to Dorchester Realty Ventures LLC and the Westwood property sold for $12.8 million to Westwood Realty Ventures LLC.
BBJ reports that both limited liability companies list an address of 700 Providence Highway in Norwood, the home of Cadillac of Norwood. Interesting…
If you’re worried that you won’t be able to pick up one of Lambert’s awesome sandwiches or some fresh produce, don’t be. Back in January, it was announced that Lambert’s businesses in Dorchester and Westwood signed 10-year leases. So even if the property gets sold, the leases will have to be adhered to. So, the businesses will be in operation for roughly ten years! Phew!
Plus – here’s a message from the Lambert Family
Lots of changes are coming to Morrissey Blvd.
