Well, this is big news.
According to the Dorchester Reporter, the Morrissey Blvd shopping center that includes Lambert’s Rainbow Market and the Puritan Plaza shopping center is on the market.
According to a local listing, the property at 777 Morrissey Blvd. and the Lambert’s in Westwood are for sale. These properties are owned by the Lambert family trust.
If you’re worried that you won’t be able to pick up one of Lambert’s awesome sandwiches or some fresh produce, don’t be. The article states that Lambert’s businesses in Dorchester and Westwood have signed 10-year leases recently. So even if the property gets sold, the leases will have to be adhered to. So the businesses will be in operation for at least 10 years! Phew!
You can read the full details here.
Lots of changes coming to Morrissey Blvd.

Glad lamberts will still be in Westwood. Love everything there and the people are awesome💕
Both Dorchester and Westwood are on the market and they both will remain open for at least 10 years.
Thank goodness the one in Dorchester will remain open because lets face it, Lamberts is probably one of the few good markets we have let in the neighnorhood with fresh and affordable meats and produce…oh not to mention the salad ba!! I pray they stay around for more than 10 years.
I drive from Hanover for one of their sandwiches
