National Taco Day

Like you need an excuse to eat tacos. But Friday is National Taco Day!  Celebrate at Best of Boston Winner for Tacos –Yellow Door!  Order up some tacos like carnitas, mezcal shrimp, fish and short rib!  While you’re there, don’t forget the chips and guac and one of their famous margaritas!  Another fun thing to do?  Text a friend a taco today! 

DOToberfest at South Bay

Get into the fall spirit at South Bay.  On Thursdays and Fridays from 3pm-7pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 10am-5pm enjoy a beer and wine garden, food trucks, live music, a farmer’s market, children’s games and crafts, lawn games and artisan vendors. Takes place October 3-27.

BossChick Pop Up at Savin Hill Fitness

This late night BossChick pop-up class is the perfect Friday night pre-game to get you dancing, sweating, and smiling! You’ll leave class radiating positive vibes, and ready for wherever the weekend brings you. The Boss Chick Dance Workout is a high-intensity hip hop, dance hall, afrobeats fusion twerkout that will have you poppin, lockin, and droppin your way to a bangin’ healthy body. The class features dance cardio set to the hottest beats of hip-hop, dancehall, and afrobeats. In addition to discovering your inner-Beyonce you will be sculpting your abs, arms, legs, and booty for a complete full body workout! Flap Jack Breakfast for Area 51 Majorette Dance Team

Looking for an excuse to eat a some pancakes? Head to Applebee’s at South Bay on Saturday, October 5th from 8am-10am for a Flap Jack Breakfast to support Area 51 Majorette Dance Team! Menu includes pancakes, eggs, bacon, coffee and juice. Tickets are $10 per person!

Boston Harborwalk turns 35!

Join Boston Harbor Now for the first in a series of four walks celebrating the 35th anniversary of Boston’s Harborwalk. Boston Harborwalk is the waterfront public path system that rings our historic harbor! As part of the celebration, Boston Harbor Now is leading a series of adventurous walks on the existing Harborwalk — the first of which will trace the 7-mile waterfront in Dorchester from the Neponset River Reservation to Carson Beach around Port Norfolk, Tenean Beach, Dorchester Shores Reservation, and Columbia Point.  This walk takes place on Saturday, October 5th at 9am-12pm.  Tickets are $25 and can be purchased here! 

Hero Square Dedication: Victor M. Gemelli

A Hero Square Dedication will take place on Sunday, October 6th at 11:30am at Kane and Bellevue St. in Dorchester for Victor M. Gemelli. Learn more about this WWII hero from Dorchester here.
