Lower Mills Tavern launched a new fall menu under the guidance of new Executive Chef Cara Marie Nance. Feast on woodstone pizza made with autumn vegetables with fig jam, roasted brussels sprouts, confit garlic, braised leeks, parnsips, rosemary oil, plant-based ricotta, or boneless short ribs with barley & swiss chard risotto, roasted cipollini onions, fried leeks, stout reduction. Drink:
Drink Pink!  The Bowery Bar will be serving up Rosé Sangria all month long with $2 from each cocktail going to the Ellie Fund Do Good campaign! Lucy’s American Tavern is also “doing good” and has created a cocktail called the Drink for Pink made with Bully Boy vodka, pear nectar, ginger, pomegranate, lemon and a club soda float! $2 from every drink goes to the Ellie Fund so you might as well have two!

Donate:
Donate your plastic bags! Drop off your single use plastic bags at Home.stead Bakery by October 19th. All bags collected will help Lusterity to create sleeping mats for the homeless as part to the Martin Richard Foundation Autumn Service Day! Bags must be clean and dry!

See all your favorite Boston teams this weekend! If you love sports, you must be psyched for this weekend! The Bruins face the Oilers on Thursday night at 7pm and then the Red Wings at 3pm on Saturday. On Saturday night, it’s the Red Sox vs. the Astros ALCS Game 1 at 8:09pm and again on Sunday night at 7:09pm. Also on Sunday night, the Pats play the Chiefs at 8:20pm. Head to Dorset Hall to watch, share some drinks and apps at Dorset Hall this weekend! Feast on Buffalo Chicken Nachos, Fish Tacos, Chicken Wings and more! Wash them down with a specialty cocktail like the Pineapple-tini make with Ketel One Vodka, shaken with fresh pineapple juice. Do:
Women in History!  The Dorchester Historical Society will host a special event to highlight the role of the Woman Suffrage movement in Massachusetts. Barbara Berenson, author of Massachusetts in the Woman Suffrage Movement, will be discussing her book and highlight some of the prominent suffrage activists from before the Civil War, such as Lucy Stone, who lived on Boutwell Street and was considered a major voice in the movement. The first National Woman’s Rights Convention held in Worcester in 1850 was organized by some of these women! The event will be taking place next Sunday, October 14th 2018 from 2PM to 4PM, at the Dorchester Historical Society – 195 Boston St. This is event is free and open to the public. You can RSVP here!
