Lower Mills Tavern and Yellow Door Taqueria have a revealed their new spring cocktail menu and we can’t wait to try them.  Try the Motor Goggles with four roses bourbon, yellow chartreuse, lime, lemon, citrus soda or a Blue Cane with  privateer amber rum, frozen blueberries, lemon juice, brown sugar & blueberry simple, lemon bitters at LWT.  Here’s the full menuAt Yellow Door how about the Siesta de Pineapple with Plantation pineapple rum, pelotón de la muerte mezcal,pineapple, lime, cinnamon or how about In Bloom with maestro dobel diamante, cocalero, strawberry, basil, lime. You can see the full menu here.  

Eat a burger

May is National Burger month and you have one week left to celebrate!  Head to Bred Gourmet for one delicious burger like the Bred Classic made with grass fed beef, American cheese, applewood smoked bacon and chipotle lime aioli served on a Brioche bun.  Pair with one of their many beers available in bottle or on draught!   Bred also serves wine too!  Here are some other spots in Dot for a great burger!

The Fifth Annual Dot Pot Street Hockey Tournament will take place on the weekend of May 24th-26th. 24 teams from all over the city will battle it out at Garvey Park for the coveted championship!  This year’s tournament will be raising funds for  Bobby Collins who is currently battling end stage renal (kidney) failure as well as a newly discovered and aggressive form of Melanoma.  If you would like to make a donation, contact [email protected].  Make sure to follow them on Instagram.

Just in time for Memorial Day Weekend! Frosé is back at The Bowery Bar! The Frosé Machine will be on all weekend! Stop by and treat yourself to some on the patio!

Memorial Day Mass

Memorial Day is a national holiday and a day of remembrance of those who have died while serving our country in the armed forces.  Originally called Decoration Day, it was a day to visit the cemetery and decorate the graves of fallen soldiers. Now it is a day to honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice – their lives. A special Memorial Day Mass: Cedar Grove Cemetery welcomes the public to a Memorial Mass on Sunday, May 26th, 11am on the cemetery grounds.

Memorial Day Brunch

Lucy’s American Tavern will be open for brunch on Monday!  Enjoy French Toast Sticks and Lucy’s Hangover Skillet.  Don’t forget an Adult Iced Coffee.
