As if you really needed an excuse to eat a cheeseburger. Well, it’s National Cheeseburger Day on September 18th and we can’t think of a better reason to eat one! Whether you like it with the works or just a little ketchup, today is your perfect excuse to eat one! We are sharing our picks for the best cheeseburgers around town!

D Bar offers an 8 oz. juicy burger where you can pick your cheese – cheddar, bleu or swiss for $13. Add bacon for $2. Served with hand-cut rosemary fries!

Lower Mills Tavern serves up the LMT BURGER with American cheese, bacon, house sauce; choice of fries or salad $14. Highly recommend upgrading to the truffle fries for a $1. If you go there on a Tuesday, stick around for Irish Session at 8pm. Free traditional Irish music featuring Cliodhna Field and friends.

Dorset Hall features the Black & Bleu burger with grass fed beef grilled on the flat top to seal in juices cooked to your liking with bacon & melted bleu cheese $13.

The Bowery Bar has the Burger Deluxe with American cheese, special sauce, lettuce, onion and dill pickle. Go with someone special and order up a shareable cocktail for two!

A local favorite, The Eire Pub serves up on of the best burgers around! Always fresh never frozen 8oz of hand-packed ground sirloin cooked to order with your choice of American or Swiss. Topped with bacon and a very generous side of fries for just $8.50!

When asked for favorite burger in the neighborhood, Bred Gourmet popped up in our Facebook feed over and over again! This wildly popular Lower Mills spot serves up burgers just the way you like them like the Bred Classic made with grass fed beef, American cheese, applewood smoked bacon and chipotle lime aioli served on a Brioche bun. You need two hands for Lucy’s American Tavern’s burgers! You can order the Lucy’s Burger Royal with aged cheddar, apple-wood smoked bacon, bourbon bbq sauce, crispy onion strings, lettuce, tomato on brioche bun 16!

Order up the Landmark Smash Burger at Landmark Public House for lunch or dinner. This burger is served with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, American cheese, public house secret sauce.

Ashmont Grill features a grass fed burger with choice of cheese, mushrooms, caramelized onions, with hand cut fries for $17 add blue cheese or bacon $1.50

The Industry has a burger with its name! The Industry Burger has Bacon jam, Swiss, arugula, tomato, house sauce, pickles, and served with truffle fries for $16.

224 Boston serves their burger, thick bacon, grafton cheddar cheese, caramelized onion aioli, sesame bun for $16.

The Blarney Stone offers the blarney burger a 6oz patty on brioche bun with shredded lettuce, pickle, grilled white onion, american cheese & Russian dressing, and fries for just $11
