This is a moment just for you. Take a seat, and let the musician set the tone while you take a break from your day and recharge. This relaxing event takes place on Friday at 11am at the Lower Mills Branch of BPL.
The Return of Landmark Ice Cream Bar
It’s officially ice cream season – who are we kidding, it’s always ice cream season – and Landmark Public House ice cream bar in Adams Village officially opens on May 5th! Enjoy scoops of your favorite flavor, sundaes, frappes, and Richie’s Italian slush! They’ve launched a new Instagram account for their ice cream bar here! Backyahd Run Club
Inspired by the Boston Marathon and want to get moving? Join the Backyahd Run Club launching this Saturday at 10am from Backyahd at 28 District Ave (South Bay). All paces, all faces – 3-5 miles (route depending). Whether you’re training for an upcoming race or looking to gain momentum in your running journey, this group run will provide insight, accountability, and support every Saturday morning.
Kentuck Derby Viewing Party

Welcome to the Neighborhood – The Local Hand
The Local Hand is a perfect combination of gift shop and art gallery, and it’s opening this week on the ground level of The Carruth on May 7th. Inventory will include locally made candles, soaps, home goods, jewelry, baby clothes, greeting cards, and pottery. Free Blue Bikes on Sundays in May
In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month and National Bike Month, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts is sponsoring free Bluebikes Adventure Passes every Sunday in May, beginning on May 7, as part of their second annual “Miles for Mental Health” initiative. The free Adventure Passes will be available across the Bluebikes system’s 13 municipalities (Arlington, Boston, Brookline, Cambridge, Chelsea, Everett, Malden, Medford, Newton, Revere, Salem, Somerville, and Watertown). For this activation, riders can take advantage of free unlimited, two-hour Adventure Passes each Sunday in May by downloading and opening the Bluebikes App on a mobile device and selecting “Adventure Pass.”
