A welcomed addition to the neighborhood!
The Local Hand is a perfect combination of gift shop and art gallery, and it’s now open on the ground level of The Carruth. Featuring a curated selection of handmade goods by local artists and makers, the Local Hand is owned and operated by Dorchester resident Michaela Flatley.
Inventory includes locally made candles, soaps, home goods, jewelry, baby clothes, greeting cards, and pottery. The shop will also display local artwork from the community – complete with opening and closing receptions.
Also on the horizon will be workshops where both children and adults can learn painting, printmaking, candle making, and more!
