Watch the USS Constitution Turn Around
The USS Constitution will be underway on Friday, leaving the Charlestown Navy Yard at 10am and heading to Castle Island’s Fort Independence for a 21-Gun -Salute around 11:30am. Great viewing spots include, the Charlestown Navy Yard, the Harbor Walk and Castle Island!
Neighborhood Plant Sale
The Beautification Committee of the Columbia-Savin Hill Civic Association is having its annual Plant & Bake Sale on Saturday from 9am to 1pm in front of Cristo Rey, 100 Savin Hill Ave. Stop by for annuals and herbs, a plant swap, baked goods, and raffles. Funds raised go back into the Dorchester community for neighborhood improvements and activities.
Dorchester Open Studios
This spring’s Dorchester Open Studios will take place this Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 5pm, hosted by Humphreys Street Studios (HSS) in Uphams Corner. Visiting Open Studios is a wonderful way to meet neighborhood artists, learn about their craft, and see their work practices behind the scenes. Visitors are encouraged to ask questions, learn how art is made, and even purchase original work directly from the artists on site. Visitors will meet painters, sculptors, jewelry-makers, print-makers, graphic designers, photographers, woodworkers, blacksmiths, and more. Read more here.

Moakley Park Cleanup
Help give back to your community and preserve the beauty of the city’s biggest waterfront park! Join Boston Harbor Now and the Boston Parks and Recreation Department at Moakley Park for a volunteer cleanup event this Saturday from 9am to 11am. Volunteers should meet at the picnic tables near the basketball courts. Participants will be provided tools including gloves, bags and pickers to help clean up litter and natural debris. Pour Art Workshop
Learn to craft your own hand-poured bamboo coasters at this fun event popping up at Boston Harbor Distillery this weekend! Learn the basics of acrylic pouring including five pouring techniques and how to properly mix colors. Each participant will create their very own unique four coaster set to take home. Tickets are $50 per person.

Pierogis, Polka + Polish Culture and History – Polish Fest 2024
Enjoy a day of culture, fun, food, drink, music + more! On Sunday, May 19th, from 12-6pm, the Polish American Citizens Club, and the Polish American Heritage and Community Foundation (PAHCF) will be hosting Polish Fest Boston 2024. This family-friendly annual event allows people from all over the greater Boston area to enjoy the warm hospitality of the Polish community. This event will feature The Baltic Poka Band, DJ Mariusz Wierzibicki, Krakowiak Polish Dancers of Boston, plus vendors, artisans, food, and beer! The event is located just a six-minute walk from Andrew Square Station (Red Line) and the #16, #17, #18, #10, and #5 buses.
Register to Participate in the Dot Day Road Race – June 2nd
Lace-up your sneakers and participate in the 2024 Dot Day Road Race on Sunday, June 2nd! You can register here! This family-friendly 5K is for all ages and abilities and begins and ends at the Blarney Stone restaurant just before the annual Dot Day Parade! Registration for adults and teenagers 12+ is just $30 if you sign up in advance. Registration for youth 11 and under is $15. (Same-day registration is $35 for 12+ and $20 for kids!)
