[May 3, 2024–Dorchester, MA] — Humphreys Street Studios will host this spring’s Dorchester Open Studios on Saturday and Sunday, May 18 and 19, from 11am to 5pm. Humphreys Street Studios (HSS), now majority artist-owned/operated as affordable artist workspaces in perpetuity, is located at 11-13 Humphreys Street in Uphams Corner, Dorchester.Visiting Open Studios is a wonderful way to meet neighborhood artists, learn about their craft, and see their work practices behind the scenes. Visitors are encouraged to ask questions, learn how art is made, and even purchase original work directly from the artists on site. At Humphreys Street Studios, visitors will meet painters, sculptors, jewelry-makers, print-makers, graphic designers, photographers, woodworkers, blacksmiths, and more. HSS has also opened up space on-site for other Dorchester artists without studios to show there.
