After much success of her first book Mary Lou Found A Really Big Shoe, Dorchester children’s author Paula Guerard has published her second book, Eva Irene Please Keep Your Room Clean, based on Paula’s childhood memories of growing up with her mother Eva Irene’s encouragement to maintain a tidy bedroom. To celebrate her newest book, Paula will be hosting a book signing at at the Eire Pub – 795 Adams Street on Saturday, May 19th at 4pm. Light appetizers will be served and copies will be available for purchase!

Go see the animals at the Franklin Park Zoo!  The zoo is home to kangaroos, zebras, giraffes and more! Speaking of giraffes, Savannah the giraffe (a zoo favorite) is back with a new addition: Chad, a 2-year-old male Masai giraffe. Make a plan to visit them this weekend!

Register to run! Join Team MR8 for a special MR8K A Run for Gratitude! To reflect the spirit of the Martin Richard Foundation, the first annual MR8K will be a ‘Run for Gratitude’ honoring first responders and related charities ad will take place on September 3rd. Registration is $45, with proceeds benefiting the Martin Richard Foundation. Participants and spectators will have the opportunity to fundraise and donate on CrowdRise. Each registrant will receive an event day shirt as part of the registration fee. The event is open to both runners and walkers, as well as families with small children. You can register here!
