We realize that many of our outdoor patios have disappeared for the winter but there’s still some “hot spots” nestled in the neighborhood! We’ve teamed up with the dynamic sister duo of @heat_ya_seat– to find the best heated outdoor dining options! Now more than ever, our local restaurants need our support! Brunch O’Clock
Have brunch every day this weekend! Lucy’s now offers Friday’s brunch at 10am so you can bring your laptop to Lucy’s and enjoy brunch while you “work.” Lower Mills Tavern features $5 mimosas and Bloody Marys at brunch. On Sunday, head to dbar and enjoy huevos rancheros and the monster sticky bun on their heated/covered outdoor patio! How about burgers and Bloodys at 224’s on Saturday or Disco Brunch Sundays at Blend?
Cozy + Delicious
Put on your sweats, get cozy on the couch, and order up some takeout/delivery from our local restaurant scene! From pizza and dumplings, to tacos and steak dinners, Dorchester has some of the best restaurants around – plus it’s a great way to show your support! Family Affair Pop Up
Family Affair announced recently it would be closing for the winter but to be on the lookout for future pop ups! Well, the future is here! Family Affair – Caribbean and Soul Food restaurant located in Uphams Corner – will be opening this Friday 2-7 and Saturday 12-6 for a pop up with such deliciousness as hot honey bourbon fried ribs, wings n waffles, Hawiaan pulled pork sandwiches and more. Grande Cocktails + Quarantaco Kits at Yellow Door
Enjoy Grande Cocktails $75 for 32oz – makes 8 drinks and comes with garnishes and an exclusive YDT cocktail shaker. Enjoy House, Coconut, and Jalapeño margaritas and there will be a rotating special soon. Quarantaco Kits are now available every day for Toast Takeout scheduled preorder or order by 3PM the day of. Guests can use the “order ahead” option or specify a pick up time in the “order notes” section. The $100 Kit includes ingredients for 12 tacos with choice of 2 taco options – carnitas, chicken tinga, carne asada (queso carne taco with oaxaca cheese sprinkled on top instead of melted on tortilla), or cauliflower taco as well as order of elote, chips & guacamole, side of salsa, and choice of margarita kit! The $175 kit includes all previously listed items except swap the margarita kit for choice of grande margarita.

Support + Love for Dorchester Community Fridge
The motto of the Community Fridge is, “Take what you need, leave what you can;” and residents are welcome to grab whatever food they need or donate the food they have, without judgement. Well, the fridge could use a little love via donations. The Fridge is hosting a food drive on Saturday, January 9th at from 8:30am-11am. You can see a list of suggested donations below:
