Keeping with the legendary Dorchester architectural theme
Universal Hub is reporting that the Zoning Board of Appeal (ZBA) approved two new three-deckers in the neighborhood.
One will be built on an empty 2660-square-foot lot located at 16 Church Street, where, appropriately enough, a three-decker once stood back in the 70s. The home would also have two parking spots. This proposal is pending design approval by the the Boston Planning and Development Agency.
Another new three decker proposed for 15 Fowler St. a 4,200-square-foot vacant lot, also won approval.
A third three-decker was proposed to be built at 118R Homes Ave., directly behind another three-decker at 118 Homes Ave. It was rejected due to the fact that the lot was already too small for the two-family it was zoned for. The board rejected the proposal without prejudice, meaning the developer can come back within the year with a new proposal for something smaller.
