Codman Square Jerk Festival
It’s the 4th Annual Codman Square Jerk Festival! On Thursday, July 25th at 5:30pm, get ready to feast on delicious Caribbean food from local restaurants! There will also be music and more. Continuing on last year’s success, they are once again partnering with Second Church and hosting the event in the church yard at 600 Washington Street in Codman Square in Dorchester. Just $10 gets you access to all the food! Come out and support local Codman Square businesses while having a great time. You can learn more here!
Fundraiser for the Old Morton Street Fire
A 9-alarm fire swept through a neighborhood destroying eight homes last Saturday afternoon. The fire began at about 4:45 p.m. at 39 Old Morton St. which was a vacant house under construction. Thanks to high winds, the blaze quickly jumped to seven more houses. The Lower Mills Civic Association has organized a fundraiser for Saturday, July 27th from 5pm-8pm at the St. Gregory’s Auditorium, located behind the John Paul II Academy Lower Mills Campus. Mix and mingle with friends and neighbors. Enjoy food, music, raffles, all for a great cause! Tickets are $25 and can be purchased here!

Save the Date
Grab your chair and hit the beach! It’s Tenean Beach Day on Sunday, August 3rd from 11am-3pm hosted by the Port Norfolk Civic Association. This FREE family friendly day will feature bounce houses, dunk tanks, sumo suits, canoes, paddle boards, food, ice cream, a pirate story teller, circus performers, face painting and more! Holy Moly! Talk about fun in the sun! There will also be a live DJ, Larry the Lobster and friends, and Dot Art!
