In not so sexy news, Floor & Decor – a specialty retailer of hard surface flooring including tile, wood, stone – is hoping to take over a portion of the old National Wholesale Liquidators building on Morrissey Boulevard. It’s been reported that the flooring experts have been on the civic/neighborhood association circuit sharing their plans.
Back in November of last year, it was revealed that National Wholesale Liquidators had filed for bankruptcy and then closed its location on Morrissey Blvd.
Residents began to daydream about business that would replace it. Trader Joe’s? Whole Foods? A village of small independent retail shops? Nope, flooring. Oh well!
