March 1st = New Beginnings
The Handle Bar will be offering classes in studio with 12 bikes six-feet apart this week. The Ice Creamsmith in Lower Mills will reopen for its 45th season on Monday and Dorchester Brewing Co. will reopen their taproom (both indoor seating and outdoor seating) on Monday, March 1st beginning at 11:30am. They’re also giving away branded DBC glasses to the first 50 customers! (one per person).
Bring on Phase 3, Part Two
The City of Boston announced on Friday – the city will also advance along with the state to Phase 3 Part 2 on Monday and Phase 4 on March 22nd. What does that mean? Well, Phase 3, Step 2 means many businesses are allowed to operate at 50% of their maximum capacity. Right now they are at 40%. Some industries can finally reopen again including indoor theaters and performance venues, roller skating rinks, trampoline parks and other indoor recreation businesses. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
Have you seen the recycling dropboxes in the the neighborhood? For residents looking to drop off their household textiles, including clothes, shoes, sneakers, bags, stuffed animals, bedding and towels, those items must be dry and placed into a secured plastic bag.
