UPDATE: The City of Boston announced on Friday – the city will also advance along with the state to Phase 3 Part 2 on Monday and Phase 4 on March 22nd.
The Boston Business Journal is reporting that the Baker administration will announce on Thursday the state will advance to Phase 3 – Part 2 on March 1 and then enter Phase 4 a few weeks later.
What does that mean?
Phase 3, Step 2 means many businesses are allowed to operate at 50% of their maximum capacity. Right now they are at 40%. Some industries can finally reopen again including indoor theaters and performance venues, roller skating rinks, trampoline parks and other indoor recreation businesses.
Bring on Phase 4, Step 1
March 22 will roll out Phase 4, Step 1 which means indoor and outdoor stadiums and arenas would be able to operate at a 12% capacity limit.
Governor Charlie Baker is scheduled to give a press conference at 1 p.m. on Thursday.
