Pride Celebrations Happening In and Around Boston

The annual Pride parade will return to the streets of Boston on Saturday, June 8, but that’s not all that’s planned! Dorchester is gearing up for Pride Month with a vibrant array of events and activities designed to celebrate and support the LGBTQ+ community. Register for the John P. McKeon Post AMVETS #146 Scholarship Road Race/Walk!  This fun neighborhood event happens on Father’s Day, Sunday June 16th at 9:30am.  Sign up here! 

Roxbury Sunflower Project

On Saturday, June 8th from 10:30am-1:30pm Get your Free Sunflower Seeds at the Grove Hall Library!  There will be kits for kids, artmaking with massArt’s sparc! the ArtMobile, demonstations, light refreshments, music and more!

Blue Hill Ave Transportation Plan Meetings

The City of Boston is hosting a series of community meetings to discuss plans to redesign Blue Hill Avenue to better serve bus riders, create safer conditions for pedestrians and drivers, increase the tree canopy, and install new amenities for a more vibrant small business corridor. The first meeting, a pop up workshop,  is coming up on June 4th  from 4pm-6pm at the Morton Street Bus Stop and June 6th from 3:30pm-5:30pm at the Commuter Rail station.  You can check out the full list of upcoming meetings here.
