The annual Pride parade will return to the streets of Boston on Saturday, June 8, but that’s not all that’s planned! Dorchester is gearing up for Pride Month with a vibrant array of events and activities designed to celebrate and support the LGBTQ+ community. Below is your guide to Pride events in and around Dorchester. Check back as this list may be updated!

Pride Kick-Off Party | Saturday, June 1 | 11:30 AM – 11:00 PM | Dorchester Brewing Company, 1250 Massachusetts Ave. | Free to attend | Kick off Pride Month at the Dorchester brewery with a Donut King pop-up, a Bookworm pop-up and a book signing with Riley Adaris. Portion of the day’s taproom sales will be donated to BAGLY.

Backyahd Benefit Classes on June 8th to benefit Bagly, a youth-led, adult-supported organization committed to social justice, and creating, sustaining and advocating for programs, policies and services for the LGBTQ+ youth community.  You can learn more here! 

Pride Yoga at Burro Bar South End | Saturday, June 1 | 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM | Burro Bar South End, 1357 Washington Street, Boston | $22.00 | Join Burro Bar for a 45 minute-long, all-level vinyasa flow yoga class centering around self-affirmation, dignity, equality + peace, and stay after for a complimentary Partida cocktail or a mocktail with your fellow yogis! The class is taught by Courtney Marino (@courtlovesyoga), a Registered Yoga Teacher.

Flight Club – Pride Cocktail & Rainbow Cake (benefitting BAGLY) The Pride Cocktail, crafted with Empress Gin, Ketel One Grapefruit, rose, hibiscus, lemon, egg white, and edible glitter is available with three different topper designs. Complementing the colorful cocktail, the vibrant Rainbow Cake is layered with joy and topped with creamy vanilla icing and rainbow sprinkles. To further support the community during Pride Month, Flight Club is committed to donating 100% of the proceeds from each menu item to benefit Bagly.

Pride Polar Plunge at Body + Fuel – a fundraiser for Verna Felton will take place on Saturday, June 22nd from 11:30am-1pm featuring breath work for athletes, guided ice baths and more! You can learn more here! 

Pride Celebrations at dbar! dbar will be celebrating Pride all month long kicking off with  Show Tune Pride on Tuesday, June 4th, then the annual Stoplight Party 🚦 on Friday, June 7th, Slay Saturday on June 8th, and Pride Tea this Sunday June 9th at 4pm.

The Broadway Community Supper for Pride Month – Join The Broadway in kicking off summer and celebrating Pride with this month’s Community Supper! 🥂 Each ticket includes a welcome beverage and 4 courses of uniquely prepared oysters. All ticket proceeds this month to go to Gay For Good in honor of Pride month!  You can get the details here!  Also on the schedule is a Drag Brunch on June 22nd from 11am-2pm!

Pride Rooftop House Party | Saturday, June 1 | 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM | Samuel Adams Boston Taproom, 60 State Street, Boston | Free to attend | Join the Samuel Adams Downtown Boston Taproom to dance the night away under the stars with an amazing B2B set by DJ L’Duke and DJ Javes, Love Conquers Ale slushies (with an option for a Truly floater), Pride giveaways, glow water pong and more. Make sure to dress up in your best Glow outfit – they’ll  be hosting a contest for best fit for a chance to win a pair of tickets to Pride Night at Fenway Park on 6/11

Road of Rainbows 5K | Thursday, June 8 | 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM | Boston Common Bandstand, 139 Tremont Street, Boston | $35.00 | 2024 will mark the 4th annual running of Boston Theater Company’s Road of Rainbows – the first athletic event of its kind in Massachusetts, where gender has no bounds. The Road of Rainbows is an all-inclusive event that is as much about running as it is about showing off your inner unicorn. Runners and walkers of ALL genders and abilities are welcome. For all LGBTQ+ folks and supporters.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Proud Bluebikes | June 1-June 30 | Boston | In celebration of Pride Month this June, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (“Blue Cross”) is launching 100 rainbow-themed Bluebikes into Greater Boston’s bikeshare system to help drive awareness for LGBTQIA+ equality. The “Proud Bikes,” available in both pedal and ebike formats, will be accessible throughout the system’s 13 municipalities and will be showcased in the Boston Pride Parade on Saturday, June 8.
