Put on your dancing shoes! Tavolo is turing 10! To celebrate a decade of “Dorchester Italian,” Tavolo is throwing a birthday bash on Friday, September 7th! Enjoy, snacks from the kitchen, cocktails, and plenty of dancing at a Disco Dance Party! Dust of your dance shoes, put on your party clothes! The fun begins at 10:00pm. Cash bar. No cover!

Drink:
It’s National Beer Lovers Day! Lower Mills Tavern is the perfect place to visit this weekend to celebrate! Featuring an extensive list of craft beer in bottles and cans, 48 total and 8 rotating beers on tap, LMT has something for everyone! Beer also pairs great with LMT’s appetizer menu too!

It’s the 6th Annual Classic Car Show at Dot Park on Sunday, September 9th! Classic tunes will add to the day as you check out classic and antique cars! A food truck will be on hand to make sure you’re not hungry or thirsty! This fun event happens from 10am-2pm.

Do:
Register for flag football at the Leahy Holleran Community Center! It’s for kids ages 4-16 – non contact league! Signups happening through Saturday! Games start next weekend!  For more information visit here! 

Paint:
Paint a picture! Budding artists ages nine and up are invited to join the Boston Parks and Recreation Department for its popular fall series of ParkARTS Watercolor Painting Workshops during the month of September at six Boston locations. The series of free workshops is just one of the many offerings of the 22nd annual ParkARTS program sponsored by Holly and David Bruce. The workshops welcome artists of all skill levels to create their own greenspace-inspired masterpieces with instruction and materials provided. This fall’s featured instructor is Juleen Jones. Ms. Jones has a BFA in Fine Art from Montserrat College of Art as well as a custom painting business called The Artist Touch where she transforms rooms with faux and specialty painting, murals, hand painted furniture, refinishing, and more. Enjoy a free class at McConnell Park on Sunday, September 9th from 12pm-2pm!

Breath:
It’s National Yoga Month and why not practice this Saturday at one of the most beautiful places on earth – Castle Island! This all-levels vinyasa flow will have you moving, breathing and working up a sweat for 60-minutes while overlooking the spectacular views of Boston Harbor. Each class taught by a yoga instructor from Yoga Around Town. Bring your own mat or towel and meet Castle Island near the information sign at Fort Independence. Class starts at 10:15am Register here!
