Lucy’s American Tavern is ready!  They want you to spend your entire Sunday with them! Start with brunch and stay for live music with the Royal Furs from 2-5, followed by an atomic wing eating contest around 7pm (with gift card and swag prizes) and then the official start of the Patriots season kicking off at 8:30!  (Phew!) Stop by the Ashmont Farmers Market on Friday and visit Bobby Mac’s Mobile Sharpening! Get your knives, scissors and even lawnmower blades sharpened like new from 3pm-5pm!  Also, enjoy live music with Morgan Minsk from 5pm-6:45pm

Yellow Door Takeover at Lion’s Tail

2019 Best of Boston Winner Yellow Door is throwing an epic party at its sister restaurant Lion’s Tail on Friday, September 6th and Saturday, September 7th. This exclusive weekend includes live entertainment, outdoor dining, frozen margaritas and of course, our lots of tacos. It’s kind of a big deal!

Calling all classic car enthusiasts!

The 7th Annual Classic Car Show will take place on Sunday, September 8th from 10am-2pm at Dot Park.  Classic tunes will add to the day as you check out classic and antique cars! Food trucks will be on hand to make sure you’re not hungry or thirsty in addition to horse and wagon tours of Dorchester Park. Sounds like an afternoon to us!  For more information visit here! 

Twerk 101

Learn 15 signature dance twerk moves at this Friday night dance party at Savin Hill Fitness. There will be breakdowns of different twerk techniques and some key movements done in #BossChickDanceWorkout!  This fun workout takes place on Friday, September 6th from 7:30pm-8:30pm with instructors Ulana Ainsworth and Sarah Younkin Ainsworth. Cost is $20 and you can learn more here!

Weekends are for egg sandwiches and Greenhills Bakery has their version called the Irish breakfast roll made with a fried egg, Irish sausage, Irish bacon, and black and white pudding on a freshly baked roll. Give it a try!

Rock the Block Party

Head to Pope John Paul Park on Sunday, September 8th for a Rock the Block Party!  Featuring food by Wahlburgers, music, games, ice cream.  Meet at the Splash Pad Picnic Area from 12pm-3pm.  It’s also a first responder appreciation theme – so come as your favorite hero!
