Comedy Show at Boston Harbor Distillery

Enjoy a cheap date night or night out with friends as comedy night returns to Boston Harbor Distillery. Ray Harrington is an infectiously charming comedian who performs across the globe with hilariously irreverent material and marvelous improvisational riffing that embraces the uncomfortable and the absurd with a smile. He’s been seen on Conan, and his documentary BE A MAN won the LA Comedy Festival before premiering exclusively on Hulu. Catch Ray Saturday evening from 8pm to 9:30pm. General admission tickets are $15.

New Edition Fun

The six members of the iconic Boston R&B group will attend several community-based events, including a guest performance on City Hall Plaza on September 6th and September 7th!  You can get all the details including schedule here!

Edible Plant Workshop

Have you ever wondered about foraging for natural food sources? Many of Boston’s local forest areas feature fresh, natural and edible plants and flowers that are ripe for the picking. Join local herbalist and lover of botany Alex Klein for a workshop focused on edible plants in a forested setting. Participants will walk around the Sherman Street Greenspace Conservancy (a.k.a. Fairy Hollow) in Roslindale. You will learn to identify edible plant species and discuss possibilities for planting edible shrubs and trees in a pre-existing forest site. The event takes place Saturday from 10am to 12pm and registration is required. Tickets are offered on a sliding payment scale.

Last Call for the Alianza Park Series in the Neighborhood

Roundhead Brewing Company and Fresh Food Generation recently announced the Alianza Park Series, a first-of-its-kind mobile beer garden and hospitality series coming to seven neighborhood parks across the City of Boston. Alianza Park Series combines a menu of small-batch brews from the Latino-owned Roundhead Brewing Company and farm-to-plate Caribbean American eats from Fresh Food Generation. Alianza (“Alliance”) speaks to the business partnership and invites attendees to travel and build community across Boston neighborhoods. At each location, Alianza will operate from Wednesday to Sunday for two consecutive weeks before traveling to the next City of Boston neighborhood park.  It’s coming to Franklin Park on August 28-September 8th.
