Haunted Circus!

Don your best costume and hit the dance floor at a free community event, Clubstation: A Haunted Circus! Our neighbors in Roslindale are hosting a Halloween party like no other at The Substation on Washington Street Friday from 8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. The event will feature music by DJ TROY Frost and Rilla Force, along with aerialists, stilt walkers, acrobats, and other spooky circus performers from Commonwealth Circus Center. The Substation’s bar will be open with a selection of craft beer, wine, cider, and Halloween-themed cocktails. The event is free but registration is required.

Candle Making Class

Looking for a fun and creative way to spend your Saturday afternoon? Head over to Boston Harbor Distillery for a candle making class from 2:30 to 4pm to craft your very own custom candles while enjoying the unique atmosphere of the distillery. Whether you’re a seasoned candle maker or trying it for the first time, an expert instructor from Salt and Branch will guide you through the process. Get ready to immerse yourself in the world of scents and wax as you create a one-of-a-kind candle to take home. Tickets are $45.

Spooky Hangover Pajama Brunch at Blend

Head to brunch on Sunday, October 27th at Blend for a frightfully fun pajama brunch with spooky beats by JD Begbick! Fun takes place from 11am-3pm.

Halloweenfest at The LOT

Halloweenfest is back for a spooktacular celebration on October 26th from 2PM-8PM! Families and friends are invited to join the FREE fun; get your face painted to match your costume and a balloon accessory to bring it to life. Kids can bounce around in the “Jumpin’ Pumpkin” and the spooky-themed jump house and slide or carve pumpkins to bring home. Northeast of the Border and Hungry Nomads food trucks, serving up tacos, burritos, burgers, sandwiches and more. Cannonball Cantina will also be open with drinks and snacks! Wear your best costumes, and stop by The LOT, 383 Dorchester Ave. RSVP  here!

Scobie’s Take Out

You can now order Scobie’s for pick up! Order up everything from coffee and cookies to Guinness Beef Stew and Fish and Chips.  You can learn more here! 

Potosi Street Block Party

Join our neighbors in Meeting House Hill for the 2nd Annual Potosi Street Halloween block party on Saturday at 4:30pm. This free community event is part of the City of Boston’s neighborhood block party series which provides fun and safe environments for kids and families to celebrate the spirit of Halloween. Part of Potosi Street will be closed to traffic so guests can enjoy great food, tricks, treats, crafts and ghoulishly great times!

DBCo Beer Release Party

Dorchester Brewing is hosting a beer release party featuring their new tree beer. Join in the fun on Saturday from 7pm to 10pm for a night filled with punk rock vibes and high-energy performances by amazing local bands, Tree and Integrate. Advanced tickets are $25 with limited tickets available at the door. The event is 21+.

Halloween Sculpt Class

Open Doors Dorchester is hosting a night of fun, fitness, and frightful delight on Sunday evening at 6pm. Drop in for a special 75-minute Halloween-themed sculpt class followed by tricks, treats and spooky snacks and refreshments. Registration is $25 per person. Costumes are highly encouraged!

Pottery Workshop at The Local Hand

Learn a simple hand-building technique to create beautiful ceramic trays and shallow dishes. This class will also cover the basics of surface design using underglazes, stencils, transfers, and stamps. Each participant will have the opportunity to make about 3-5 different pieces, depending on size.  All pieces will be bisque & glaze-fired by the instructor after the class and available for pick-up from The Local Hand about a month later.  This event takes place on Saturday, October 26th at 2pm.  You can get your ticket here!
