Things are getting a little spooky around the neighborhood!  Here’s a roundup of some festive and fun Halloween events. Check back as this list will be updated!

Spooky Hangover Pajama Brunch at Blend

Head to brunch on Sunday, October 27th at Blend for a frightfully fun pajama brunch with spooky beats by JD Begbick! Fun takes place from 11am-3pm.

The LOT on the Dot Halloweenfest

Saturday, October 26th | 2 pm – 8 pm – The LOT The LOT’s Halloweenfest is back and better than ever! The event will take place on Saturday, October 26th, 2-8PM. This family-friendly event is our favorite to celebrate the holiday and fall season. Kids can wear costumes to carve or paint pumpkins and participate in Halloween-themed activities. Food and drinks will be available for purchase, while games, activities, and entry are free of charge!

All events are weather-permitted and changes will be announced via social media, @onthedotboston. The rain date for this event will be October 27th! Event will take place outdoors, dress accordingly.

Magic Halloween Castle Island

It’s Back!  After a hiatus, the Castle Island Magical Castle – Halloween Celebration will take place on Saturday, October 26th and Sunday, October 27th from 12noon-4pm. FREE ADMISSION: No food or drink available. Storyteller. Costumes encouraged. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

After Hours Crypt Tour at the Old North Church

Did you know that over 1,100 bodies lie beneath the sanctuary of Old North Church? Explore Old North’s crypt on an after-hours guided tour. These 45-minute guided adventures are jam-packed with fascinating stories about the people buried in the crypt, colonial death practices, and the latest archeological discoveries. After-Hours Crypt Tours run Friday and Saturday nights at 5:30 and 6:15pm starting September 13, 2024. From October 18 – November 2, tours will run every night. Tickets are $20 per person. These tours usually sell out quickly and only have a capacity of 20 people, so grab tickets before they’re gone! Please note that participants should be comfortable in a basement setting and navigating tight spaces. The crypt has low lighting, and uneven surfaces, and is not wheelchair or stroller accessible. Historical topics discussed include death, burials, and human remains. You can reserve your spot here! 

Zoo Howl at the Franklin Park Zoo

October 26-27, Franklin Park Zoo: Franklin Park Zoo’s “Zoo Howl” is back and ready for another celebration of tricks and treats! This annual event offers several family-friendly activities, giving guests the opportunity to trick-or-treat amongst the animals. Haunted happenings include a costume contest, arts and crafts stations throughout the zoo, and a live DJ providing music for the day. Costumed characters will be at the front entrance, waiting to take spooky snaps and pictures with guests. This event is included with general Zoo admission. Event takes place rain or shine.

Pumpkin Parade at Pope John Paul II Park

Bring your Halloween costumes and carved pumpkins to the Pumpkin Parade on the Neponset River Greenway Trail on Thursday, October 24th at 5:30pm. There will be games, candy, hot chocolate and more! Candles for your Jack-O-Lanterns will be provided.
