Things are getting a little spooky around the neighborhood!  Here’s a roundup of some festive and fun Halloween events. Check back as this list will be updated!

Fall-o-Ween Children’s Festival

Mayor Michelle Wu and the Boston Parks and Recreation Department will host the fourth annual Fall-o-Ween Children’s Festival on the Boston Common Parade Ground at the corner of Beacon and Charles Streets on Friday, October 17, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.  Get all the details here! 

Magic Halloween Castle Island

It’s Back!  After a hiatus, the Castle Island Magical Castle – Halloween Celebration will take place on Saturday, October 25th and Sunday, October 26th from 12noon-4pm. FREE ADMISSION: No food or drink available. Storyteller. Costumes encouraged. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Park City Pumpkinfest

Park City is transforming into the perfect fall oasis for Halloween! It is the day that will be filled with family fun! The event is happening on Sunday, October 26th from 1 to 4pm. There will be pumpkin painting, costume contest, face painting, and more! The event is free but RSVP here!

McGonagle’s Halloween Party

McGonagle’s is hosting a very spooky Halloween party on Friday, October 31st starting at 10pm with live music by the Jinty McGrath Band.  No cover.  Prizes for best costumes!

Dia De Los Muertos at Yellow Door

Spend the entire weekend with Yellow Door – Friday 10/31 through Sunday 11/2 – to celebrate Halloween 🎃 AND Day of The Dead💀!! These YDT cocktails + food specials will be available in The South End, Mission Hill, Dorchester and our newly opened Providence, RI location all holiday weekend long!  You can check out the special menu here! 

After Hours Crypt Tour at the Old North Church

Did you know that over 1,100 bodies lie beneath the sanctuary of Old North Church? Explore Old North’s crypt on an after-hours guided tour. These 45-minute guided adventures are jam-packed with fascinating stories about the people buried in the crypt, colonial death practices, and the latest archeological discoveries. After-Hours Crypt Tours run Friday and Saturday nights at 5:30 and 6:15pm starting September 13, 2024. From October 18 – November 2, tours will run every night. Tickets are $20 per person. These tours usually sell out quickly and only have a capacity of 20 people, so grab tickets before they’re gone! Please note that participants should be comfortable in a basement setting and navigating tight spaces. The crypt has low lighting, and uneven surfaces, and is not wheelchair or stroller accessible. Historical topics discussed include death, burials, and human remains. You can reserve your spot here! 

Ashmont Harvest Market

Get into the cozy fall vibes on Friday, October 31st from 3-7 at Ashmont Harvest Market!

Zoo Howl at the Franklin Park Zoo

October 25-26, Franklin Park Zoo: Franklin Park Zoo’s “Zoo Howl” is back and ready for another celebration of tricks and treats! This annual event offers several family-friendly activities, giving guests the opportunity to trick-or-treat amongst the animals. Haunted happenings include a costume contest, arts and crafts stations throughout the zoo, and a live DJ providing music for the day. Costumed characters will be at the front entrance, waiting to take spooky snaps and pictures with guests. This event is included with general Zoo admission. Pumpkin Parade at Pope John Paul II Park

Bring your Halloween costumes and carved pumpkins to the Pumpkin Parade on the Neponset River Greenway Trail on Thursday, October 23rd at 5:30pm. There will be games, candy, hot chocolate and more! Candles for your Jack-O-Lanterns will be provided.  You can learn more here.

Halloween Karaoke at dbar

Get your coven of ghouls to come sing at @dbarafterdark on Halloween Night! Hosted by your favorite zombie HAUS BOI. Costume contest at midnight with special prizes to be announced.

Halloween at the Dot

The Dot Tavern is getting spooky on Friday, October 31st at 7pm with a costume contest and the Celtics game on the tv.

McKeon Post Halloween Party

Put on your halloween costume and head to the McKeon for a a Halloween Party on Friday, October 31st at 7pm.  DJ Jen Blackmore will be playing! Plus appetizers and a costume contest.  $10 tickets!

Landmark Public House Halloween Bash

On Friday, October 31st started at 9pm, Landmark Public House is hosting a Halloween Bash with a dj, pizza buffet, best costume contest, giveaways and more!
