School Vacation Week at the Zoo

Wrap up December school vacation week with a visit to Franklin Park Zoo on Friday. Join in for seasonal activities and fun from 10am to 2pm including winter-themed arts and crafts, a scavenger hunt, and live chats with animal keepers. 

Sound and Flow Yoga

Join Sebu Kha Wellness on Saturday from 10:30am to 12pm for gentle yoga flow followed by a soothing sound bath in the beautiful Taproom at Long Live Roxbury Brewery. The class will help participants harmonize their bodies and minds with a variety of twisting postures. Plus you can enjoy a pint after class!

First Night Boston

Head into the city for New England’s largest New Year’s Eve party, which will be rocking across more than 10 locations in Boston on Sunday and Monday. The free and family-friendly event starts at noon and features a range of local musicians, artists and performers. NYE Party Cruise

If the bar hopping scene isn’t your style, celebrate New Year’s Eve under the stars aboard a luxury yacht in Boston Harbor. Dress to impress at this speakeasy-style event which will feature three floors of music, food and fun from 9pm to 1am. 

NYE Dinner at Venezia

Celebrate New Year’s Eve with friends and family over a delicious dinner at Dorchester’s Venezia this year. The chefs have prepared a special menu featuring a variety of mouthwatering entrees like prime rib, shrimp and scallop risotto and bourbon glazed short rib. Reservations can be made from 4pm to 11pm and include a midnight champagne toast.

New Year’s Day Polar Plunge

Break out the bathing suits or your favorite costume and join our neighbors in Southie for a century-old tradition. The L Street Brownies will go for a dip at M Street Beach as part of their annual polar plunge on New Year’s Day. The group will meet at L Street Tavern starting at 8am Monday. Spectators are welcome!
