Lower Mills Tavern is now offering $5 mimosas and Bloody Marys during brunch on Saturday and Sundays 10am – 3pm. How awesome is that? New Menu for Lucy’s American Tavern
’Tis the season for early sunsets, cooler temps and comfort foods! Lucy’s American Tavern has just launched a new fall menu and it’s filled will some old favorites plus some delicious new additions like roasted tomato soup with goat cheese crostini and pan roasted salmon with Korean chili pepper glaze, vegetable fried rice and caramelized shallots.
Register to Run
Register for the Halfway to Dot Day 5K and Toy Drive! This is a family friendly run for all ages and abilities along the paths of DCR’s Pope John Paul Park in Dorchester on Saturday, December 14th at 9am. The course is certified and sanctioned by USA Track and Field – New England. After the race, please join us for the Mayor’s Toy Drive and breakfast at Florian Hall. All youth under 12 who donate a toy are registered at no cost. Registration for adults and teenagers is just $20. Make sure you register in time for a long sleeve t-shirt! You can register here!
DAV 5K
The DAV 5K to honor veterans is a run, walk, roll and motorcycle ride that thanks those who served and raises awareness of the issues our ill and injured veterans face every day. The race takes place at Castle Island on Saturday, November 9th at 9am. $25 for adults, $15 for youth 6-15. To register visit here!Free for veterans!

The Industry on Adams is hosting two nights of live entertainment. On Friday it’s Joe Mac on Saturday is Stephen Chachi Leivi. Enjoy Pitchers of Sam Adams & Corona Premier for $20.
Watch the Bruins at Harp & Bard
The Bruins face the Detroit Red Wings on Friday at 7:30pm and on Sunday the B’s take on the Flyers on Sunday night at 7pm. The Harp + Bard is a perfect spot to watch the Pats! Delicious pizza, honey bbq wings and nachos are delicious additions to game watching. The Harp + Bard also has Keno so bonus!
Troops Care Package Drive
The Leahy Halloran Community Center will be hosting a troops care package drive through November 15th. Drop off items like lip balm, baby wipes, handwarmers, pencils, pens, gum, and deck of cards. You can also sponsor a care package for $25. You can see a full list of items to donate here.
Veterans Day Deals for Vets
The Bowery Bar and Lucy’s American Tavern is offering 50% off meals for vets and active military on Monday all day. They will also be giving out t-shirts will supplies last!
Franklin Park Zoo – Free admission to Veterans all weekend + Monday 10am – 3:30pm (closes at 4pm)
