Genesis Tribute Band
Boston Harbor Distillery presents A Tribute to the Music of Genesis this Friday starting at 8 pm. Genesis is one of the most influential progressive rock bands of all time and has a well-deserved Rock & Roll Hall of Fame status. Seconds Out is a five-piece band that focuses on both the Phil Collins and Peter Gabriel eras. They faithfully play not only the more rock-driven songs but also the rich and complex musical pieces as well. Tickets are available for $25 at the door starting at 7 pm.
Wine Tasting
Stop by and enjoy the taste of fall at a complimentary wine tasting at American in South Bay on Friday from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm. It’s Thanksgiving Season, and the time is now to try a special wine with notes of cinnamon, gingerbread, and delicious red apple.

The Holiday Market at Snowport is open for the Holiday Season! Stop by this weekend, Friday and Saturday, 11am to 9pm and Sunday, 11-8pm. Drag Dinner
Get ready for a night of fierce performances, bold personalities and unforgettable energy at Dorchester Brewing Co. as they present The Big Dinner Drag Show this Friday from 7:30 to 9pm! Featuring the incredible talents of Big Jahnelle and Big Atlas, this night will showcase jaw-dropping performances, killer lip-syncs and larger-than-life charisma. Music by DJ Maxine Harrison will keep the beats bumping all night and special guest performers are sure to leave you gagging with their fierce and fabulous acts. Tickets are $20.

Contra Dance Night
Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or have two left feet, this Friday night event is for you. Join Marcie Van Cleave, Director of the Folk Arts Center of Stoneham, Friday from 6pm to 9pm. She is a pro at creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. She will guide participants through each dance with no experience necessary. Marcie’s mix of square dances, line dances, and international favorites will keep everyone moving! Entry is a suggested donation of $10 per person. Located at 10 Parish St. in Dorchester.
Movement Market
Get ready for the second annual “That’s So You!” Movement Market! The event takes place this Sunday from 10 am to 5:30 pm at the Polish American Citizens Club in Dorchester. It’s a place to shop, connect and celebrate what makes you unique. The market is free and open to the public, but a paid registration is required for the onsite workout sessions.
Social Emergency Workshop
Social Emergency Response Centers (SERCs) help people in emergencies like hurricanes and tsunamis. Emergency response centers provide services like temporary housing, food, water and information. A local nonprofit group invites you to join in re-imagining response centers to take on the real and pressing social emergencies facing the nation at their event on Friday from 2pm to 8pm at the Design Gym in Dorchester. Stop by and learn more about engaging in these core issues through collective healing.
