Wampanoag Nation Singers & Dancers
This Friday the Celebrate! series returns to the JFK Presidential Library and Museum for a special performance by the Wampanoag Nation Singers and Dancers. The free community event takes place on Friday from 10:30 am to 11:30 am and will feature stories of the Wampanoag history and modern culture in an educational program that culminates with a full-audience dance in honor of Native American Heritage Month. This participatory experience is for all ages but designed for children ages 5 and up.

Dot Tree Lightings + Holiday Market
This Saturday from 3 pm to 8 pm The Greater Ashmont Main Streets will host a festive holiday market, with a tree lighting on Ashmont Plaza taking place at 6:45 pm. Tavolo invites guests to head over for an after party from 8 pm to 10 pm. The Upham’s Corner Tree Lighting will also take place Saturday from 4 pm to 6 pm in front of the Stand Theater with live entertainment, delicious food from the neighborhood and free goody bags! Fields Corner Tree Lighting will take place on Saturday at 5pm at Townfield featuring children’s activities, refreshments and more. Lower Mills Holiday Stroll will take place on Saturday from 3pm-6pm featuring free hot chocolate, entertainment, food, art, Santa and the Grinch, Tree Lighting at 6:15pm.
Holiday Wreath Making
Ready to get in the holiday spirit? Join in a fun evening with Hoamsy at Boston Harbor Distillery where guests will learn to make a beautiful winter wreath to decorate their home or office for the holiday season. The workshop from 4 pm to 6:30 pm will cover how to make a balanced arrangement with decorative elements such as berries, pinecones, cinnamon sticks and dried fruits – finished with a perfect handmade bow! Tickets are $85 per person and include all materials. No previous experience needed.
Happy HoliGays Market
Tis’ the season to be gay and merry! Grab a locally crafted beer and shop from a variety of local vendors and artisans at the Happy HoliGays pop up vendor market at Dorchester Brewing Company this Saturday from 12 pm to 5 pm. Find the most perfect and unique gifts for everyone on your list! Admission is free and under 21 are admitted with a parent or legal guardian.
Photography Sessions at Yashua Media Studios
Are you ready for your closeup? Dorchester’s Yashua Media Studios is hosting $100 portrait sessions this Saturday from 9 am to 3 pm. Reserve your spot for a fun and memorable photoshoot experience where a professional photographer will capture stunning images that you will cherish forever.
Ship Lighting at Martin’s Park
Don’t miss Boston’s newest holiday tradition at Martin’s Park this Saturday in Seaport from 4 pm to 6 pm. The City of Boston will host the fourth annual ship lighting where the park’s wooden playship will be transformed into a beautiful holiday display when the ship, surrounding fencing, and pedestrian bridge are illuminated with over 7,600 feet of white and blue LED lights. The free celebration will also feature Santa Claus and The Grinch, who will arrive by boat, as well as entertainment provided by the acapella group Ball In The House.
