Dorchester Brewing Co. host a piano sing-a-long

Join the Dorchester Brewing Co. for a night of great music from Austin Klipp at Klipper Music. Request your songs and enjoy a night of sing-along piano music in the Tap Room on Friday night beginning at 7:30pm.

Barbara Colby Playground is now open

Take a little time this week to check out the new Barbara Colby Playground at Tenean Beach. The $350,000 renovation by the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) includes new and improved play equipment that sits on higher ground.

Learn something new

The Stitch House is hosting two sewing workshops this weekend.  On Saturday learn how to make a reversible apron – which is a great project for beginners This makes a great gift and can be personalized by putting a copy of a favorite recipe into the pocket of the apron. On Sunday learn how to make Roman shades.

Self Care Saturday

On Saturday mornings at 11am at Open Doors Yoga Studio enjoy Gentle Yoga and Aromatherapy with Carolyn McDonald for Gentle Yoga and Aromatherapy.  This flow class is practiced at a slower pace with emphasis on proper alignment and breath work. The benefit of essential oils is both aromatically through diffusion and topically through gentle assists if chosen. Class is comfortably warm.  Sounds like heaven.  You can sign up here! 

On a roll

Weekends are for egg sandwiches and Greenhills Bakery has their version called the Irish breakfast roll made with a fried egg, Irish sausage, Irish bacon, and black and white pudding on a freshly baked roll. Give it a try!

The Patriots vs. The Eagles on Sunday at 4:25pm

We know Dorchester loves football Sundays!  There are plenty of TV’s to catch all the action at Lucy’s American Tavern.  With over 50 beers on draft, an appetizer selection featuring snacks like Mexican Street Nachos, Crispy Calamari and Lucy’s Famous Wings, you can’t go wrong watching the game at this Adams Village hot spot!Here are some more spot to game watch in the neighborhood.  Go Pats!
