Dine Out DOT is a new fundraising incentive,  giving neighbors the chance to support local restaurants while also helping raise money for the beloved Dorchester Day Parade. Organizers say the fundraiser is all about celebrating the neighborhood and shining a spotlight on the restaurants that help make Dorchester such a vibrant community. Participating restaurants will support parade fundraising efforts over the next few weeks, so every meal out helps give back.  Takes place May 7-31st! Get all the details here!

Drag Brunch at McGonagle’s

Looking for something fun (and a little fabulous) this Mother’s Day weekend? McGonagle’s is hosting a one-day-only Drag Brunch—and it’s all for a good cause. Happening on Saturday, May 9th, this special event will benefit the Connacht Ladies Gaelic Football Club Boston, bringing the community together for a morning of brunch, performances, and support. Doors open at 10AM with a buffet brunch, and the show kicks off at 12:30PM. Guests can reserve tables for full brunch service or grab standing and bar tickets to catch the show. The Local Hand is a perfect combination of gift shop and art gallery, and it’s located on the ground level of The Carruth.  Featuring a curated selection of handmade goods by local artists and makers, the Local Hand is owned and operated by Dorchester resident Michaela Flatley.
