Calling all birdwatchers
Looking for a weekend adventure that mixes hiking, birdwatching, and a little local exploration? The Franklin Park Coalition has you covered with a free Bird Hike through one of Boston’s biggest green spaces on Saturday, May 3rd, from 8am-10am. Led by “Nature Man Mike” and the Franklin Park crew, this guided walk will take participants through some of the park’s most scenic spots, including Scarboro Hill and the pond area. Beginners are more than welcome (and encouraged!) to join. No registration is needed — just show up, bring your curiosity, and if you have them, a pair of binoculars. A few loaners will be available on-site. Get all the details here.
Planks, Petals and Pizza – A Moms’ Afternoon Out
A “Moms’ Afternoon Out” is happening on Saturday, May 2nd from 3–7pm, and it’s basically the perfect mix of sweat, creativity, and chill time. The afternoon kicks off with a 30-minute, all-levels TONE class at btone FITNESS Dorchester — you’ll pick either a 3:00pm or 3:45pm start time when you sign up. After that, the group heads over to The Local Hand for a flower arranging session (hello, spring vibes 🌸), followed by dinner at Tavolo Ristorante with plenty of time to hang, chat, and unwind.
Tickets are $65 per person, and spots are limited — so if this sounds like your kind of Saturday, you’ll want to grab a spot sooner rather than later here.
