Dance, Sweat, Meditate

Muscle and Flow Milton is hosting a popup with Dorchester resident and founder of SoulFire Movement, Michelle Turner-Young. Join them for a full-body workout Friday evening from 7pm to 8pm which will feature the power of dance coupled with a guided chakra and color meditation. After the movement segment, the class transitions into a yoga-inspired stretch session followed by a mini-meditation. Advanced tickets are $20.

Boston Pride!

The annual Pride parade will return to the streets of Boston on Saturday at 11am, followed by the Pride Festival at Boston Common on Saturday from 12pm to 6pm. There will also be a 21+ block party at City Hall Plaza on Saturday from 2pm to 8pm. Looking to stay local? Concert on the Beach

The Makanda Project will perform a free concert at Malibu Beach on Sunday from 2pm to 5pm. The group is a 13-piece jazz ensemble formed to explore the previously unrecorded compositions of Makanda Ken McIntyre. The event will include live music as well as poetry, and compositions based on poems by Langston Hughes.

Long Live Roxbury Anniversary Party

Join in as one of our favorite local breweries celebrates its one year anniversary in Boston on Saturday with a block party in the lot! The all-day event starts at 12pm and will include a lineup of live entertainment, food, local small business vendors, and of course, plenty of beer to go around!

Savin Hill Beach Cleanup

Join Surfrider MA and the Urban Harbors Institute for a cleanup of our Savin Hill neighborhood beaches and shorelines of Malibu Beach, Savin Hill Beach and Morrissey Blvd. Volunteers are needed on Sunday from 9am to noon to help remove trash and protect the local environment. The groups are helping to raise awareness about litter and plastic pollution, and will use trash data collected to help advance research and influence laws that reduce waste. Join for any amount of time you can and meet in the parking area off of Morrissey Blvd.

On the Dot  – Car Show at The Lot!

On the Dot will host the first event of its exciting season on Saturday from 12-5PM! The Boston Cup and On the Dot® will host the Car Show at The LOT. Enjoy classic cars, live music by The Skrims, delicious food, and a toy car race track. Be sure to check out The Cantina as well for more snacks and drinks! Roxbury Sunflower Project

On Saturday, June 8th from 10:30am-1:30pm Get your Free Sunflower Seeds at the Grove Hall Library!  There will be kits for kids, artmaking with massArt’s sparc! the ArtMobile, demonstations, light refreshments, music and more!
