Check out The Dot Block Diner

There’s a new spot to grab breakfast in the neighborhood, and it comes with some familiar roots. The Dot Block Diner and More launched a soft opening this week, bringing classic diner vibes with a modern twist to the ground floor of the Dot Block development on Dorchester Ave. It also marks the first retail space to open in the complex, which began welcoming residents in 2023. The man behind the griddle? Bernie Goodman, the same guy who gave us the beloved McKenna’s Café in Savin Hill. The new 49-seat diner will serve up breakfast and lunch daily—waffles are the star of the menu—and plans to add 20 outdoor seats soon.
