Nothing says the Fourth like BBQ! Order online or stop in to Dorchester Brewing to feast on M&M BBQ. Reservations recommended but not required. Or head over to Wingz and Tingz on Blue Hill Ave. They have over 50 flavors of wings – we can’t wait to try the sweet pineapple ginger.
Chill on Park will be open regular hours and will be offering a cherry Vanilla and Watermelon sherbert, in addition to their regular 32 flavors! Or check out the Ice Creamsmith for a classic ice cream sandwich.
Social Distance Dash
Cabin fever has set in for all of us, especially with summer upon us! This virtual road race is the perfect opportunity for you to stay active (while remaining socially distant!), and most importantly, support your favorite charity! It was announced this week that ferry service to Spectacle Island is back in business for the season. Spectacle Island boasts some of the most magnificent vistas of the Boston skyline and is only a 20-minute ferry ride away from downtown Boston. Celebrate Independence Day with a new virtual tradition
America’s Ship of State, USS Constitution, and the USS Constitution Museum are bringing fun virtual content to your July 4th celebration. From a live 21-gun salute aboard “Old Ironsides” to firing an Alka-Seltzer® cannon in your own yard, there is something for all ages in this online event. Programming on July 4th will be streamed live from USS Constitution‘s Facebook page. Programs will include a special Ship tour with Carl Herzog, the Museum’s Public Historian and host of Historian at Home, and a public trivia contest.
