Eat:
Pizza, pizza! On Saturday, February 9th it’s National Pizza Day! Why not celebrate! We’ve rounded up some of our favorite spots for pizza! Check them out here! 

Drink:
The Bowery Bar wants you to stop by this weekend and unwind with some cocktails! If it’s chilly cozy up with someone special with a classic hot toddy. Want to forget it’s winter, sip up some summer with a Mai Tai.

Brunch:
Love brioche French toast? How about huevos rancheros caliente? Then the creative Sunday brunch menu at dbar is calling your name. The fun starts at 11 and the bar is open all day.

Dance:
DJ Wayne Michael returns to Blend for #Fomofridays. Don’t forget your dance shoes. Dancing starts at 10pm.

Farmers Market world’s collide! The Ashmont Farmers Market will be popping up at the Dorchester Winter Farmers Market on Saturday from 10am-1pm. They’ll be talking food access, building balanced, healthy meals, and sharing plans for their 2019 season! Stop by!

Try:
Try something new! Learn how to use that sewing machine collecting dust in your basement or knit that sweater you’ve been dreaming about. The Stitch House is not only a fully stocked yarn shop, but it also offers classes for all the fiber arts including crochet, sewing, and quilting. Visit:
American Provisions’ Dot location is scheduled to open this weekend! Stop by and check out this new wine, cheese and specialty shop right in Ashmont.

See:
Check out some boats! We realize that it’s the middle of the winter, but we’ll bet you’re dreaming of the warm weather!  Go see The Progressive Insurance New England Boat show at the Boston Convention Center and spend the day looking at boats, yachts, schooners, and nautical displays galore and you’ll feel like it’s the middle of summer. Two seasons collide as the boat show represents all we love about warm weather. Long sunny days boating, fishing and sailing on the coastlines, rivers and lakes of New England. Ironically, it gets underway February 9th – 17th smack in the middle of winter. So set aside the shovels, skis and snowmobiles and sample what spring and summer of 2019 might look like at the boat show.  To learn more about contests and buy one get one tickets visit here!

Do:
Throw some bags! Saint John Paul II Catholic Academy are hosting the Third Annual Family Cornhole Tournament on Saturday, February 9th from 5:30pm-9:00pm at the SJP Neponset Campus – 239 Neponset Avenue. Teams of two per family will face off against other school families, friends, staff and faculty members! $20 per team. All grades and ages are welcome and there will be activities for younger children and their siblings.You can purchase your tickets here! 

Listen:
Lower Mills Tavern features live music every Saturday night!  Beginning at 10:30pm you can listen to Prateek Poddar!  Late night menu served!  This event is free!

Watch:
The Bruins are playing this weekend! They face the Kings on Saturday at 1pm and the Avalanche on Sunday at 3pm. Head to one of our favorite spots Lucy’s American Tavern to watch the games! Wings? Yes!  Cold beer on tap? Yes!  Plenty of screens to watch?  Yes!  Let’s go!

Learn more about the history of St. Patrick’s Day! How Ireland Becomes The World’s Most Celebrated Country for a Day is a free event where Mike Cronin, author & academic director of Boston College Ireland will speak about the history of St. Patrick’s Day and its celebration in the US. There’ll be free hors d’oeuvres courtesy of a generous sponsor & a also cash bar. This event is free & open to the public. Register here! 

Family Fun:
Immerse yourself in the stories from traditional Chinese folklore with the Tanglewood Marionettes rendition of The Dragon King. The fun takes place on Saturday from From 10:30pm-11:30am.  The event is free but you can register here! 

Bowl:
Lace up those bowling shoes! Take the family bowling! Head to Boston Bowl and bowl a few strings at this old school institution! They are open 24 hours 7 days a week.

Celebrate:
The Museum of Fine Arts is offering a free Lunar New Year Celebration and the Year of the Pig on Saturday, February 9th with free admission all day and special events and activities. To learn more visit here!
