Dorchfest 2025

Dorchfest will take place on Saturday, May 31st, from 12 pm-5 pm. Experience what it would be like to walk through a real-life shuffled Spotify playlist!  This outdoor music festival will feature over 40 different artists performing on various neighborhood porches and front yards.   Get all the details here! 

Run the Dorchester Day 5K

Lace-up your sneakers and participate in the 2025 Dot Day Road Race on Sunday, June 1st!  You can register here!  This family-friendly 5K is for all ages and abilities and begins and ends at The Mix restaurant just before the annual Dot Day Parade! Standard Entry Fee (between 5/1/25-5/31/25): Adults $35/Children 11 and under $18. Day of Race Entry Fee: Adult $40/ Children 11 and under $20. Each registration includes a finisher medal! Food will be available for purchase at THE MIX. You can learn more here! 

New to the Neighborhood: Milkweed is now open

A Mission Hill restaurant, Milkweed, has just opened its second location in Dorchester—in the old Boston Market on Morrissey Boulevard on Tuesday! Milkweed serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, offering a casual diner/café vibe. There are plenty of windows for brightness and ample parking! Sounds delightful! Dorchester Day Parade

Every year the Dorchester Day Parade commences on the first Sunday in June. This year the parade is scheduled to kick off on June 1st. The parade starts at 1:00 p.m. in Lower Mills at the corner of Washington Street & Dorchester Avenue and travels along Dorchester Avenue to Savin Hill at the corner of Columbia Road and Dorchester Avenue. Traditional Irish Sessions at Scobie’s
