Deck the Halls!

Christmas is coming, it’s time to deck the halls!  Here are some places to pick up a tree, wreaths and more!

Light it up!

Over the weekend, the Mayor’s Enchanted Trolley Tour and Tree Lighting will make a few stops in Dorchester!  On Saturday at 1pm at Codman Square and on Sunday at 7pm in Adams Corner!

Holiday Sip + Shop at Tavolo

Tavolo is hosting a Holiday Sip & Shop on Sunday, December 5th from 4-7. There will be over 20 local vendors with lots of holiday gift ideas. We hear Mrs. Claus may be making an appearance! Please note that Tavolo will not be serving food but will have some tasty cocktails for you to sip on!

Play Roc-K-eno at The Industry

On Saturday nights from 8pm-12am take part in Roc-K-eno at The Industry with DJ Jim – numbers on the Keno card are replaced with your favorite songs! Enjoy some cocktails and snacks while you play along! You can get the details here! 

Sweet 16 at dbar

Happy 16th Birthday dbar!  They’ll be celebrating on Saturday from 10pm-2am.  Free Birthday shots for all!

Warm up in a yurt

Get cozy inside one of the The Bowery Bar’s three yurts – complete with outdoor heaters, blankets and furry seats on both low top and high top seating! Bookings are now live on their website! Each yurt holds about 8 people and are available lunch, brunch and dinner!  Winter attire is encouraged.

A little comfort food at 224 Boston

Holiday Market at Snowport

Get in the holiday spirit! On Friday, the Holiday Market at Seaport will officially open!  The Seaport will once again transform into a magical winter destination with its third annual SNOWPORT, and the arrival of the first-ever The Holiday Market at SNOWPORT. The European-style, open air holiday market showcases over 60 small businesses, and will also feature a festive menu from Tuscan Kitchen and Breezy Hill Orchard, and enchanting holiday décor. The Holiday Market joins SNOWPORT in creating the ultimate holiday destination, complete with outdoor iceless curling, large-scale winter games, the Seaport Tree Market, and more!  You can get the details here!

$5 Mimosas and Bloody Marys 

Lower Mills Tavern offers $5 mimosas and Bloody Marys during brunch on Saturday and Sundays 10am – 3pm.  Comes in flavors like orange, pineapple, blood orange, violet, peach, fig and apple cider!   How awesome is that?

The Bruins face off against the Lightings on Saturday at 7pm. The Celtics play the Jazz on Friday at 9pm and Saturday vs. the Trailblazers at 10pm. The Patriots face the Bills on MONDAY at 8:15pm. Here are 9 Places to Watch the Game in the Neighborhood! 

Lionheart Confections at Reign Drink Lab

On Saturday and Sunday starting at 9am, Lionheart Confections will be selling their delicious doughnuts until they sell out at Reign Drink Lab! Get ’em before they’re gone! No pre-order necessary, just show up and grab your doughnuts along with an iced coffee or two! Doughnuts are limited to a dozen per guest.

Register to Participate in the Half-Way to Dot Day 5K

Register to run the Dorchester Running Club’s Half-Way to Dot Day 5K on Saturday, December 11th at 9am! This is a family friendly run for all ages and abilities along the paths of DCR’s Pope John Paul Park in Dorchester and is certified and sanctioned by USA Track and Field – New England. All youth under 12 who donate a toy for our toy drive are registered at no cost. Registration for adults and teenagers is just $25. You can register here! Bib pick up will be at Landmark Public House on Friday 12/10 from 4pm-8pm. Make sure and bring your toy drive donations, there will be a special treat from Landmark for anyone who donates an extra toy!
