Sips and Sunset Cruise

Sip and savor the last summer evenings as you embark on a golden hour cruise aboard the Sir Winston Boston Luxury Yacht departing from Marina Bay on Saturday evening at 5pm. Experience the enchanting allure of Boston’s skyline as day transitions into evening while enjoying live music, dancing, good drinks and good company. The yacht features two party decks to explore, multiple bars, live DJ performances and an outdoor heated deck. Tickets for the three-hour cruise are $45-$55 per person and the event is for guests age 21 and over.

We Make Noise Fest

This Saturday’s festival in Downtown Crossing will feature local musicians and DJs, a visual art gallery showcasing the work of diverse artists, digital interactions exploring feminism and activism, and a platform for local vendors through Boston Women’s Market. By empowering women and gender-expansive artists, We Make Noise aims to create an inclusive space for celebration, community, and artistic expression. The event is headlined by Roxbury native OOMPA, a nationally-acclaimed musician whose interactive performing style has earned her 3 Boston Music Awards and 15 nominations.

Now Open – Saigon Swirl

Saigon Swirl, an Asian-American-inspired froyo pop-up, is officially open! Operating exclusively for three weekends at Pho Hoa Restaurant, this exciting new pop-up is Boston youth-operated and brought to you by Boston Little Saigon in collaboration with Pho Hoa Restaurant and Reign Drink Lab. Kids’ Clothing Resale Pop-Up

Back to School season is upon us. Instead of overspending at big box stores, the Local Hand in Dorchester encourages parents to stop by their pop-up shopping event featuring high-quality, second-hand childrens’ clothing curated by Merry Go Rounds. The event will take place from 2pm to 6pm and will feature an array of children’s clothing in a wide selection of sizes, from newborn to kids size 8. Summerfest at the LOT

On the Dot® is bringing Summerfest to The LOT! Soak up the sun at The LOT on Saturday, August 24th, from 1-7PM! Bring your friends and family for a day full of memories. There will be live music by Maddi Ryan, caricature art, lawn games, food trucks, and drinks at The Cantina! Frosty’s will be in attendance to grab some ice cream to cool off, and Work Hard Eat Good truck will serve yummy sandwiches and other options. Get your own caricature artist drawing, listen to live music, play some carnival games, or get your face painted.

Via Cannuccia announced on social media that they would be closing up for vacation from August 26th – September 24th! So this is your reminder to stop by before the 26th to get your fix! Via Cannuccia is a charming casual Italian restaurant on Dot Ave. that features pasta, pizza, Italian specialties, and baked goods, plus beer and wine!

Jamaican Comedy Night

Get ready for a night of laughter and entertainment with some of the best comedians from Jamaica, right here in Dot. The Kings of Jamaican Comedy will gather at Kay’s Oasis, 1125 Blue Hill Ave., on Sunday evening starting at 8pm to take the stage and bring down the house with hilarious jokes and stories. The event promises to be a night to remember, filled with non-stop laughter and good vibes. General admission tickets are $40.

Boston Gospel Fest

This weekend the 24th Annual Boston Gospel Fest returns, taking place at the Leader Bank Pavilion from 5pm to 8pm on Sunday. Gospel Fest will feature performances by Latice Crawford, a top three finalist on BET’s “Sunday Best” and headliner Micah Stampley, renowned for his energetic style throughout his nearly two decade career. This vibrant celebration of gospel music will fill the air with three hours of uplifting melodies, powerful performances and community joy. The best part, the event is free of charge!
