Massachusetts state sales tax holiday is this Saturday and Sunday, which means most retail purchases are tax-free! So go on and get that dress or pair of shoes you’ve been eyeing and keep a little extra cash in your pocket. 

Pollinators and Poetry

Join the Mass Audubon Society on Friday at 11am to learn about the importance of pollinators like bees, wasps, bats and butterflies. The event will incorporate observation and discussion as well as nature-inspired poetry prompts. Guests will take home free native wildflower seeds!

Zoo Bop at Franklin Park Zoo

Bring the family for lots of fun including a dance party, face painting, a bubble show and zookeeper chats. The event takes place on Sunday from 10am to 2pm and admission is included with your zoo ticket.

Elvis Week in Boston

Held each August to honor the legacy of the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Week takes place August 9-17 this year. Boston’s own Elvis impersonator Roland Julius will take the stage for a dinner show at The Cubist Circle in Weymouth on Saturday at 7pm. You can also catch A-Ray of Elvis tribute concert at City Winery in Boston on Sunday evening. And if you haven’t seen Austin Butler’s performance in the 2022 biography film, this is your sign to push play this weekend.

Night Sky Camping on Peddocks Island
