Easter Sunrise Service at Castle Island – CANCELED DUE TO WEATHER
The legendary Easter sunrise service will begin at 6:20 am behind Fort Independence at Castle Island on Sunday, April 5th. It’s a beautiful tradition, but be warned, it gets very crowded. Set your alarm to experience the awesome neighborhood tradition.

On Friday, April 3rd, Landmark Public House is hosting another Country Friday, featuring line dancing lessons led by JP LineDance, with the first lesson starting at 9 pm. Check out the Hanging Nasturtium at the Isabella Gardner Museum
Just like the cherry blossoms in Washington, DC, the hanging nasturtium at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum is a sign of spring in Boston! Twenty gloriously bright flowering nasturtium vines are on display in the museum courtyard until mid-April. These striking orange blooms were a special favorite of founder Isabella Stewart Garnder. Make a plan to visit and take in the beauty! Reservations are strongly recommended. Over the following weeks, the museum staff will be sharing a peek behind the scenes at how these remarkable vines are nurtured and installed via their Instagram. Follow along! New to the Neighborhood – Surf’s Up Cannabis
A new cannabis shop has officially opened on Gallivan Boulevard. Surf’s Up Cannabis is now up and running, offering a range of products including flower, edibles, vapes, and pre-rolls from Massachusetts brands. The shop is co-founded by Dorchester native Richie Parsons, who grew up on Westmoreland Street and attended St. Brendan’s and local public schools. The name “Surf’s Up” is a nod to his 1980 record No Surfin’ In Dorchester Bay. With more than six years in the cannabis industry, Parsons is bringing the business to his hometown. Watch the BPD Commissioner’s Cup Hockey Tournament
The Annual BPD Commissioner’s Cup will take place on Saturday, April 4th at the Murphy Rink from 8am-8pm. Watch various teams from different Boston Police districts across the city compete in a hockey tournament. It is a fun event! Show your support!
