New Neighborhood Coffee Truck Alert
There’s a new (and very cute) coffee truck parked behind CrossFit in Dorchester—and it’s already getting some love from locals.
Located at 62 Hilltop Street, Espresso East Coffee + Co will be hosting a soft opening from April 8th to April 11th with the following hours:
- Thursday + Friday 7am-2pm
- Saturday 7am-3pm

Country Fridays at Landmark
On Friday, April 10th, Landmark Public House is hosting another Country Friday with the best and hottest country playlists by Boston’s top DJS! Merry Go Round in Dorchester is hosting a kids’ vintage pop-up with @tous.caboose this Saturday from 10-3! Stop by and check out these one-of-a-kind children’s items! But if you can’t make that, you can still shop these vintage treasures in-store until April 19.

6th Annual Knit-A-Thon at Stitch House
This Saturday, April 11th Stitch House is hosting its Knit for Food Knit (and crochet) A Thon. Join likeminded knitters around the table anytime between 10am-6pm. Surf’s Up Cannabis Grand Opening
A new cannabis shop has officially opened on Gallivan Boulevard. Surf’s Up Cannabis is now up and running, offering a range of products including flower, edibles, vapes, and pre-rolls from Massachusetts brands. The shop is co-founded by Dorchester native Richie Parsons, who grew up on Westmoreland Street and attended St. Brendan’s and local public schools. The name “Surf’s Up” is a nod to his 1980 record No Surfin’ In Dorchester Bay. With more than six years in the cannabis industry, Parsons is bringing the business to his hometown. On Saturday, April 11th from 10am-10pm, Surf’s Up is hosting a grand opening celebration featuring surprises, special treats, and appearances by some of their favorite brands!
Boston Emeralds Football Club Home Opener
The Boston Emeralds Football Club is a brand-new semi-pro team, with its home opener on Sunday, April 12th at BC High Stadium at 6:15 pm vs. UNations as part of Division 1 of the United Premier Soccer League New England Conference. The Emeralds are based right here in Dorchester.Co-founded by Dorchester locals Kevin Tarr and Keegan Hegarty, the club will be led by Hegarty as head coach, with Tarr serving as assistant coach. The team is sponsored by neighborhood favorite McGonagle’s Pub, further cementing its Dorchester ties.
