Earn your feast!  It’s the Franklin Park Turkey Trot 5K!  Turkey Trots are wildly popular on Thanksgiving Day and this one supports Franklin Park community & seasonal programs. Registration is $25, and the race starts at 9am sharp! Check-in and register at 8am on race day or visit here to sign up online.

Shop small! It’s the St. Mark’s Village Small Business Stroll! November 24th is Small Business Saturday! Start your day shopping and brunching with the old and the new in your Greater Ashmont Main Street district, north of Shepton Street (St. Mark’s Village), with stalwart businesses like Crawford DrugTasha Michelle Kloset, and The Modern Dog Boston, as well as newer offerings, like I Am Fashion men’s boutique, El Barrio Mexican Grill (Seabreeze’s same management/new name), and Caffe Zia Gianna. More participating merchants to be announced as the date approaches.

Holiday music will fill the air as you shop our market stands for pantry staples and holiday treasures. The market will lead directly into the Annual Peabody Square Holiday Tree Lighting, part of the Mayor’s Holiday Trolley Tour!  The fun takes place on Saturday, November 24th from 3pm-7pm!   We also heard from a reliable source that Buddy the Elf and Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer will be there!
