Two fires in Dorchester on Wednesday Night

BFD responded to not one but two fires in Dorchester on Wednesday night. Firefighters responded to a call around 7pm at 7 Becket Street. There was heavy fire showing on all three floors of the rear porches in a multi-family building. A 3rd alarm was quickly ordered.
The fire was eventually knocked down. Two residents have been transported by Boston EMS to area hospitals. 18 people and several pets have been displaced.
Shortly after, BFD responded to a call for a house fire at 2938 Dorchester Ave. Heavy fire was coming from the basement and it was quickly knocked down. This fire has displaced four people. The Red Cross is working with all those displaced from both fires.

Thank you BFD for keeping our neighborhood safe.
