Dorchester Woman Identified as Victim in Faulkner Hospital Crash on Thursday
Authorities have identified the woman killed in a crash at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital in Jamaica Plain on Thursday as 68-year-old Patricia McGrath of Dorchester.
According to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, McGrath was sitting on a bench outside Belkin House when a vehicle crashed into the building. She was taken inside the hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
Two people inside the vehicle were also injured. The crash ruptured a gas line and prompted the evacuation of more than 30 people while crews checked the building for damage.
The crash remains under investigation. No criminal charges have been filed at this time.
