ParkARTS Arts and Crafts Workshops

The Boston Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to announce the return of participatory arts programming that provides children the opportunity to express their creativity while working on fun projects with local artists. ParkARTS Arts and Crafts Workshops are sponsored by Highland Partners Charitable Fund with additional support by the Boston Centers for Youth and Families Summer Grant program.  Kids ages three to ten can enjoy a wide variety of arts and crafts activities held from 10 a.m. to 12 noon in parks across the city.  You can learn more here! 

New Summer Menu at LMT

Chef Cara Nance of Lower Mills Tavern has a created a fresh new menu for summer! Featuring appetizers like Maine Lobster Sliders and Sweet Corn Hushpuppies, Grilled Swordfish and Chili Crusted Scallops for main plates plus summer salads like LMT’s Strawberry Salad and Watermelon + Red Onion Salad.  Get all the delicious details here! 

Beach Water Quality Report

Save the Harbor/Save the Bay released their annual Beach Water Quality Report Card on the Metropolitan Region’s public beaches. The report card is based on water quality data collected during the 2020 beach season on 15 public beaches in 10 communities, including Lynn, Swampscott, Nahant, Revere, Winthrop, East Boston, South Boston, Dorchester, Quincy and Hull. Here’s how Dorchester did!

If eating oyster and drinking rose on a tall ship sounds like fun, then you’ll love The Tall Ship!  Navy Yard Hospitality Group, which is also behind waterfront spots Pier 6Reelhouse, and more has officially opened The Tall Ship on the East Boston Waterfront. The new restaurant, which is literally on a tall ship  is described as a floating oyster bar, and will feature live music and events. Repurposed shipping containers will host vendors in addition to food trucks along the pier! 

The Return on Musical Bingo

Beginning July 15th, the wildly popular Musical Bingo will return to The Industry! Every Thursday Night 8pm-10pm.  In addition to having loads of fun, you can win prizes! Mark your calendars!
